Party Conference
by David on 08 Aug 2007
Lancaster Conservative Future will be attending the 2007 Conservative Party Conference to be held in Blackpool on the 30th October-3rd September. In addition to most of the Shadow Cabinet, keynote speakers attending at this year’s conference include Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator). All members are welcome to attend as delegates of Lancaster Conservative Future, and should register to do so via the Conservative Party Conference Website www.conservativepartyconference.com. I hope the event can also be a celebration of the start of another academic year and I look forward to seeing many of you there.
Lancaster CF welcomes a new Executive
by Geraint on 21 May 2007
Last Friday saw a shuffle of the Executive as members joined together for the 2006/2007 Annual General Meeting. There were farewells to the old as longstanding members Tom, Geraint and Lucy stood down to make way for the successful candidates.
It is usual for the LCF election to take place a week or so before the AGM, allowing for a formal goodbye and welcome, as power transfers and the new Executive is formed.
As Chair, David Bonner now leads a team with experience, having himself occupied a Vice Chair role for the past year. Past Executive Alex Law has assumed the role of Vice Chair (Communications) whilst Victoria Roberts has moved to Socials. Anita Vukomanovic remains General Secretary. New to the Executive, Sean Edwards takes on the role of Vice Chair (Political).
The shuffle has freed up space on the Executive therefore applications for becoming an Executive Without Portfolio will soon be welcomed - a brilliant opportunity to get involved with the new team.
