by Nick on 02 Oct 2008
Really great to see many of you at the Fresher’s stall this year, it’s been a record year with the society now having over 100 members
Whether you have become a Member or a Friend we guarantee that you will have fun, meet new people, make lasting friendships and spread the Conservative Message.
If you’re yet to fully join then come along to Bowland Bar tomorrow afternoon (Friday 11am – 1pm, We will NOT be at Fresher’s Fair). Members of the executive will be in the bar so come along meet us, have a chat and drop off the money.
Our first social is of course the CHAMPAGNE RECEPTION at Elements on Thursday 9th October, a follow up email will be sent with all the details.

Lancaster Conservative Future is open to all whether you’re into politics, volunteering or just having fun. We take part in a range of activities including parliament trips, Social Action (Last year working with Lancaster Homeless Action), dinners, lazer quest, nights out, speakers and a charity ball. Most importantly we are just like any other student; we’re friendly, fun and just happen to love Boris Johnsons’ speeches!
WELCOME BACK
by Nick on 10 Sep 2008
Hello everyone and welcome back to Lancaster CF, this year promises to be a really exciting one for Lancaster CF and I hope all of you will be rejoining and showing your support.
This year we have made joining that little bit easier, with two levels of membership. You can become of the largest political society on campus by either becoming a FRIEND or a MEMBER. This should cater for all levels of interest and be a bit easier on the wallet!
I have outlined the merits of each membership option below. You can either rejoin at Fresher’s Fair, on THURSDAY 2ND OCTOBER – NUFIELD THEATRE. Or you can rejoin at our first social of the term.
BUT THERE WILL BE SOME GOOD FREEBIES AT THIS YEARS STALL SO DO COME ALONG
Become a FRIEND: - £3
Become part of the largest political society on campus
Invite to Champagne Reception
Meet new people and make new friends
Become a MEMBER - £6
Become part of the largest political society on campus
Membership of the national party
Invite to Champagne Reception
Vote in all party ballots
Regional and national Conservative and CF events
Opportunity to meet high profiled politicians
This year’s Champagne reception will be held in the new Elements (Liquid) in week 2, I will be sending out further details nearer the time, and for more info on Michaelmas term events keep an eye on the website over the next few weeks
This year we are looking to get our returning members more involved in the Fresher’s campaign to ensure we have the most successful recruitment ever. So if you are willing to lend a hand on the stall, handing out leaflets, postering or whatever then please get in touch.
All the best and see you all soon
David Jones Visit
by Daniel on 21 May 2008
This week David Jones MP for Clywd West (Anita’s constitution) has kindly agreed to come and speak to us and will be in Furness Lecture Theatre 1 at 7 to give a talk on Friday 23rd (this Friday). David is a law graduate of University College London and was a senior partner in his own law firm, he has a keen interest in football (a quote from his website) and specializes in “environment, law and order and constitutional affairs.” So if as many as you could come for what I am sure will be an informative and interesting talk please feel free to attend, afterwards we are planning on going for a meal at Spicy hut and it would be great for a nice turnout!
